FIVE BURNING QUESTIONS 1. Is this the year Oak Park finally gets over the hump
and wins a division title? The Eagles have been so close so many times under
coach Patrick Quinn, losing in section finals to rival Oaks Christian and
Norco, but with Bradley Sakaida and a strong supporting cast that includes Sam
Saltman, Mike Campbell, Justin Parks and Nick Fahn, it appears Oak Park has
the potential to finally prevail in Div. II. The Eagles also defeated last
year’s champion Corona del Mar in the gold bracket at the Best of the West
tournament in San Diego, serving notice that they’re a legitimate contender.
Their performances in Tri-Valley League matches against rival Oaks Christian,
along with their results at the Dos Pueblos and Redondo Union tournaments will
only add to the Eagles’ preparation for a potentially historic postseason run
