Of Atlantic 10, CBI and Pitt rematch (indystar)

After spending much of Monday assembling information on Butler’s interest in
the Atlantic 10 — from official and informal sources — the conclusion is
that nothing has changed over the past week. This is my blog on pluses and
minuses of Butler leaving the Horizon League for the A-10. Nothing could be
substantiated enough for The Star to proceed with a story, although
speculation on Twitter is rampant. After all, there is a 50/50 chance of being
right, no matter what. (Butler is/is not leaving for the A-10). Similarly, if
I report Barack Obama will be re-elected president in November, I have a 50/50
chance of being right. Credibility is at stake. We can’t afford to be
inaccurate. I know that is contrary to modern culture and social media. For
instance, the Oklahoman reported in June 2010 that the Oklahoma Sooners were
headed to the Pac-10. Another news outlet reported Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma
and Oklahoma State were headed to what would become the Pac-16. None of it
happened. For now, the bottom line:  Butler could end up in the Atlantic 10.
Stay tuned. ******************** My report after watching HDNet from a TV
