Do Not Miss Juicy Lucy’s Steakhouse Restaurant With the Best Glenwood Springs Seafood
After having eaten at Juicy Lucy’s Steakhouse restaurant in Glenwood Springs a hundred times, my wife convinced me to write a review for what I have decided is the best restaurant I have ever eaten at.
My work makes me drive between Grand Junction and Denver at least once a week. I stop at customers along the way – mainly in the Roaring Fork Valley. Usually I leave Grand Junction before dawn and make my way to Aspen, bouncing from client to client until I arrive in Glenwood Springs – usually near lunch time.

All my life I drifted toward big, national chain restaurants because while they may not be great, they are consistent. That’s a good move for the majority of places, and after lunches at a couple local eateries I thought it was a pretty wise move. I love diversity as much as anybody, but I was rather let down. After several meals I inquired with some Glenwood Springs inhabitants what local restaurants were the best. Of course, I got loads of diverse opinions but one common theme was Juicy Lucy’s Steakhouse.
The residents invariably had good things to say about Juicy Lucy’s, and frankly, after finding the place I was impressed immediately. By immediately I suggest I was pleased even in the parking lot. Juicy Lucy’s is conveniently found at the heart of the hopping Glenwood Springs downtown scene and just across the Colorado River from the massive Glenwood Hot Springs pool. It is walking distance from all kinds of trendy shops and turn-of-the-century architecture. Juicy Lucy’s itself is inside in a building that was constructed during the town’s heyday as a spa destination, embellishing the historic atmosphere. Once inside, I was impressed from start to finish. The warm restaurant was busy even at lunch, but the staff was gracious and polite, and we got a seat quickly.
Honestly, I have been there many times now and I have never had to wait long at all – even when I stopped in for dinner one Friday night en route to Grand Junction. Once at a table, the food has never disappointed. I have sampled everything from their extensive appetizer menu to their wonderful steaks and have enjoyed it all. Juicy Lucy’s has a long wine list – from great, affordable domestics to more expensive but immaculate imports.
They have recently undergone a remodel and expansion, and the place is bigger and even better. Despite dozens of visits, I still stop at Juicy Lucy’s Steakhouse restaurant every time I eat in Glenwood Springs.
