The Grille and Raw Bar, in the midst of popular downtown Glenwood, offers a unique and extensive seafood menu.
This place does not try to hide the factthat it is a comparatively upscale fine dining activity in the middle of casual dining havens.
That class and panache does not lead to pretentiousness in the least. The environment in the u-shaped raw bar area is reliably full of life. The bartender mixes drinks and chefs fix sashimi and shuck oysters as well as jokes with the locals, who constantly fill the seats during Fins’ very popular happy hour. Prices are much lower than the usual dinner menu during happy hour but portion sizes and selection are amazing. Get there early for happy hour as seating in the lounge area is fairly limited.
Juicy Lucy may sound like a silly name, but this upscale steakhouse along the river in Glenwood is a welcome treat.
Consistently rated at the top of Glenwood’s restaurants, the bustling atmosphere and excellent steaks can make Juicy Lucy’s a tough seat to get. Even on weekends though, the great staff and management are able to maneuver waiting customers through the bar with its extensive wine and beer lists and remarkable cocktails.
Maybe you are looking for brunch or lunch and the usual fast food fare won’t do. A unique choice is down by the river.
Situated near the river in the south side of Glenwood, Rivers’ Sunday morning brunch is a not-so-well-kept local secret. On the menu are|You can get|Offerings include} the usual eggs and hash browns or slide the paradigm a bit with crepes de sarassins or eggs neptune. If it is Sunday lunch, choose a little Greek pizza or Lower Valley Salad with delicious grilled salmon.
If you are looking for a very diverse and unique menu in a realaxed and amiable setting, then make plans to eat at The Pullman in downtown Glenwood.
The selections at The Pullman are a diverse combination of uncomplicated but appealing American, fresh and delicious seafood and some spectacular Mediterranean offerings.
Only recently opened, The Pullman is fast becoming a favorite of the vegetarian scene, as the organic and vegetarian dishes are well thought out.
As always, Juicy Lucy’s Steakhouse in Glenwood Springs is tops in my book.
