Nike Golf Clubs vs. Ping i20 Clubs
Regardless of your skill level, golf clubs are only as good as the player that is swinging them. When it comes time to purchase new clubs or replace individual clubs in your bag, make sure that you look for the clubs that fit your game best as it is today. Clubs are built for specific issues that golfers find in their games and so there are many different types of clubs based on your skill as a golfer. Slight changes in loft, weighting and shaft material can make a huge difference in how a player approaches the game.

Choosing to buy the Ping i20 or a set of custom fit Nike Golf Clubs is an individual decision. While clubs do make a difference in play today, the basic skills of the player will be the determining factor on how well the clubs actually perform. A poor swing will not be improved by a higher priced set of clubs and a cheap set of clubs will not hold back the golfer that has great mechanics. Clubs are the tools of the golfer like wrenches are the tools of a mechanic and a great golfer can use less than perfect tools and still play magnificent golf.
The Ping i20 clubs offer custom fit as do Nike golf clubs and while custom fit golf clubs can lower your current scores you may be better spending your money on top flight instruction. At the point that a professional tells you that your game needs a better set of clubs, then it would be wise to get a better set. However, before then, it seems more a matter of locker room pride than actual functionality of the club. As you become a better player, it may then be appropriate to purchase better golf clubs.
